About Teddy

We are excited to have the acclaimed “search” instincts of both Teddy (Cooperstowns Splendid Splinter of Blazing Red) and his highly accomplished father, Blackpowder’s Blazing Red Flame (UH; (5)GRHRCH; GMPR; MH; MHN; QAA HOF) brought to this breeding!

Teddy is a boldly handsome, reddish-yellow labrador, who is well known nationwide as a Grand Champion Hunting Retriever (GCHRCH), a Master Hunter (MH), a four-time Grand Master Pointing Retriever (4xGMPR), a 2023/2024 indictee into the APLA Hall of Fame, an HRC Honorable 1,000 Points Club member, and a Top Producing Stud in HRC.  Teddy averages between 61 – 65 lbs.

Teddy is a phenomenal marker and is an amazing combination of waterfowl and upland retrieving force and hunting partner. He averages between 61-65#. He has produced a long list of titled pups. You can read more about his accomplishments here.

In addition to his accomplishments in the field (see his APLA Hall of Fame write-up here), he is also a Certified Therapy Dog.  This calm demeanor works well in a duck blind with “multiple volley” chaos is happening all around, and it is a wonderful complement to Rosie’s “cool-headed demeaner” with young family members.
